Our philosophy is that music must be fun.  Children learn best when they are enjoying themselves.   Manchester Young Musicians is a place where children will develop the core musical skills through singing, music and play.

Run by Debbie Wright and Becca Spencer - two experienced teachers and musicians (CRB checked).           Teacher Biogs

We set up Manchester Young Musicians 2 years ago, teaching one class as a team in Chorlton and are very excited to be expanding to 2 classes this September: Foundation Stage and Ensemble.

We started with our Foundation stage for 4 to 7 year olds and now are creating an ensemble for the older children to apply the skills they have developed.

In the last session of each term we produce an informal concert to show relatives and friends what the children have achieved.

Foundation Stage is a creative music group for 4 to 7 year olds.  It incorporates Dalcroze and Kodály activities to establish the core skills for our more advanced ensemble.

Monday 4 - 5pm  in the theatre at The Edge Arts Centre, Manchester Road, Chorlton M21 9JG.

Ensemble is our new dynamic class for 6 to 10 year olds.  The focus will be on performing, composing and improvising using singing, percussion and pupils' own instruments.  Dalcroze and Kodály techniques will be an integral part to developing pupils' musicianship.

Monday 5 - 6pm in the theatre at The Edge Arts Centre, Manchester Road, Chorlton M21 9JG.

Please feel free to contact us to discuss which group would be suitable for your child.

£6 per class.

We collect money in half term blocks of 5 or 6 weeks. We need 6 weeks fees in advance to secure a place.
